Loose, expressive wet-on-wet watercolour for beginners
You do not need to be talented to enjoy watercolour.
You simply need clear guidance, strong foundations and the freedom to practise without pressure.
Inside the Watercolour Clubhouse, you will learn how watercolour works and build skills you can use in your own paintings, one relaxed, nature-inspired project at a time.
Do You Love Watercolour but Still Feel Stuck?
Perhaps you have watched lots of tutorials but still do not feel confident painting on your own.
You are unsure how much water to use. Your colours become muddy, or you keep adding more until your painting feels overworked.
Maybe you have bought more supplies, hoping they would make painting easier, but you still feel unsure about the basics.
You do not need more materials or more random tutorials. You need to understand what the water, paint and paper are doing, so you can stop guessing and begin painting with confidence.
This Is for You If...
- You are completely new to watercolour or still lack confidence.
- Water and paint consistency feel confusing.
- You want to simplify subjects, paint more loosely, and create beautiful colour mixes.
- You would love a calm, regular creative practice that helps you understand watercolour, rather than simply copying a painting
Imagine What Could Become Possible
Imagine opening your sketchbook feeling excited instead of nervous.
You know how to control the water, mix fresh colours and simplify what you see into a few clear shapes.
You begin creating soft skies, expressive flowers, peaceful landscapes and atmospheric seascapes while enjoying the process rather than worrying about perfection.
Most importantly, you begin to notice the world differently. The morning light through the trees. A flower beside a path. The colours in a cloudy sky. Waves moving towards a Cornish beach.
You see beauty everywhere and feel more confident capturing it in watercolour.
Here's what members are saying
-
“Now, when I go outside, I look at nature differently. I take the time to slow down, observe the skies and really notice the beauty around me.”
-
“Before, I would look at something beautiful and think, ‘Oh, someone could paint that.’ Now I look at it and think, that’s beautiful. I can paint that! I’ve learnt so much over the past year. Please keep doing what you’re doing!”
Welcome to the Watercolour Clubhouse
The Watercolour Clubhouse is a relaxed online membership for beginners who want to learn loose, expressive watercolour with calm, simple guidance.

Every month, we explore a different nature-inspired subject while returning to the same essential skills. The goal is not simply to finish more paintings. It is to help you become a more confident painter.

Meet Sofia
Hi, I'm Sofia.
My own watercolour journey began during a time when I needed creativity in my life. Painting helped me slow down, reconnect with myself and notice the beauty in everyday moments.
I fell in love with loose, expressive watercolour and the way it captures light, movement and atmosphere without needing every tiny detail.
When I teach, my focus is not on perfection. I want to help you understand watercolour, simplify what you see and feel confident experimenting with your materials.
Because painting is not a talent you either have or do not have.
It is a skill that can be learnt.
I Belive In Progress Over Perfection.
Some paintings will work beautifully. Others will teach you something useful. Both are an important part of learning.
Confidence grows when you practise, understand what you are doing and give yourself permission to experiment.
No pressure. No perfection. Just one painting at a time.
